CONNECTED IN 5

Connected in 5 is an education and career training program that connects high school students with various community resources.

Connected in 5 is the cornerstone program for the Youth Leadership Institute of Erie. It allows high school students to progress through 5 education and career "Classes" (or levels of development), enabling them to refine their unique strengths, interests and talents, preparing them for a future of success.

Connected in 5's participant years at a glance:

Learning - Basic aptitudes in school (service learning projects)

Leading - Ability to articulate personal values

Working - Meaningfully engaged in work readiness

Connecting - Quality relationships with adults & peers (practice leadership)

Thriving - Understanding of growth & development

Connected in 5 (CI5) has 5 levels, or "classes."

Class 1 - Leading 9th Grade

Focus: Development of interpersonal skills (soft skills and hard)

Student participants may earn $500 toward a postsecondary scholarship
